Whether you are travelling with your partner, family or friends
the reserve offers the space and time to fully unwind and bask in the wonder of the Eastern Cape

Seamlessly blending the natural surroundings

Our wilderness chalets (at the Lapa) are rustically clad with local stone, seamlessly blending the natural surrounds.  The privately located sleeping chalets are positioned away from one another with magnificent uninterrupted views of the game reserve. Be prepared for wild animals roaming in the vicinity, it's not unusual to step out of your room in the morning and see the footsteps of a herd of giant Eland as they have passed like ghosts in the night.  As well as the wilderness chalets there is also an authentic cottage perfect for creating memorable family experiences.

Whether you are travelling with your partner, family or friends, the reserve offers the space and time to fully unwind and bask in the wonder of the Eastern Cape.

Spacious Rooms

The cotton percale bed linen, and sumptuous towels provided, are of the highest quality.

The spacious rooms are equipped with separate inside and outside seating, ample wardrobe space, fridge and coffee/tea making facilities. Chalets have both heating and air conditioning. Free unlimited internet access for your own laptop. En suite bathrooms consist of wash hand basin and large shower with separate toilet. A selection of complimentary shower and hair products are provided.

Communal lounge, bar and dining areas

Along a short lantern-lit trail from the chalets sits our communal lounge, bar and dining areas where food is served along with roaring log fires and a selection of fine South African wines, spirits, beers and soft drinks on an individual charge basis.

Our boma area comprises a large built-in braai and a sheltered outdoors dining area which is the perfect gathering spot after an exciting day out on the land in nature.  Central to the boma is our campfire pit which is lit each evening and brings guests together both before and after dinner to share stories and enjoy some star gazing.
